Artist, Mic E Jet moved to the Palatine, IL area when he was about 3 years old, making moves with big names from the area. Growing up, he was always intrigued by the hip hop and rap genres. The way the beats sounded and the words blending nicely together, that's when Mic E Jet knew what his mission was. Being a kid and living in a small household made him more social as a person. The feeling of being locked up inside the house was never ideal. This made him get more into music because the people he surrounded himself with, that's all they knew. By the time he hit Junior high, he had notebooks on notebooks of song ideas. When he hit high school he knew right off the bat he needed to start doing something with these notebooks of songs he had. Soon enough he was making music sending disses to the opps and back and forth. This started when some older kids at his high school took him under their wing and showed him how to put something together. Later in Highschool after making music for some time teachers at the school noticed and asked him to do a song for anti bullying. Mic E Jet being the positive person he is, decided why tf not. Others clowned on him but to him it was the next step to showing people he can do almost anything when it came to music. He didn't care about opinions but rather made a song to possibly help others get out of their negative mental. Around 2012 Mic E Jet linked up with another known artist from Palatine that goes by “Gman”. Gman brought Mic E Jet back to the music at one point when he wasn't feeling it any more and introduced him to “J Runner”, a well known super producer and makes whatever he’s got into pure gold. After sometime getting to know the industry Mic E Jet then met Johnny May Cash who is Young Chops brother. Johnny May really inspired Mic E to make different styles of music and to put himself out there a lil more. A well known artist out of Chicago really helped get Mic E Jet on his feet and learn more about the game. “It's always crazy knowing that I worked with people who were a big part of the Chicago Drill movement.” Him showing homage to a well known artist from Chicago shows that its more than music to him. Be sure to check out MIC E JET’s song, “That Feeling”!
