Tcm Optic, the rising star in the indie music scene, shares his jou

rney, influences, and thoughts on being an independent artist.

"I caught onto the Soundcloud wave and started posting music for my friends and me to enjoy. It finally gave me a place to publish my music and do something with it," Tcm Optic reveals when asked about what inspired him to start making music.

His musical style is diverse. He says, "Definitely hip-hop heavy," and adds, "I listen to different types of artists, so I try to incorporate different types of styles."

Tcm Optic's love for music began at a young age, thanks to early piano experiences. He recalls, "My rap influences were Lil Wayne, Eminem, Kanye West, and T-Pain for sure. I got the melodies from people like John Legend, Fall Out Boy, and pop artists."

He acknowledges his friends, Gunbir and Sean, who've been by his side. "More importantly, I’ve been really lucky to have support from my friends Gunbir and Sean. They helped me embrace my personality as an artist and put myself out there even when I’ve been unsure about myself or my work," he says.

Being an unknown and independent artist comes with its difficulties, as Tcm Optic explains, "Being unknown and independent can be really tough because you have to fight to be heard and taken seriously. It can feel like I have to prove that I’m a legitimate artist."

Despite the hurdles, Tcm Optic's passion for music remains unshaken. He emphasizes, "I actually love what I do. I’ve been making music my whole life and now I get to bring my ideas to fruition."

One key lesson he's gained along the way is that "You can’t make everyone happy." His advice to fellow artists is, "If there’s something you love about your music and you’re having fun, people will at least sense that."

Among his proudest achievements is his project "Tragedian," which explored emotional music. He's excited about his upcoming project, "Constellationer," a sequel to "Tragedian," where he plans to take creative risks.

When reflecting on his journey, he highlights moments like shooting the video for "H8U2," releasing "Champion" and "aVeryLateXmas3," and the success of a song that hit 40k on Spotify.

Regarding his earlier tracks, he acknowledges growth in technical skill and artistic vision. He now has more experience, better production quality, and a more strategic approach to his music.

In terms of the future, Tcm Optic is enthusiastic. He mentions upcoming tracks like "Wednesday" and "black magic in Quantum" from the "Constellationer" album and collaborations with other artists.

In closing, Tcm Optic leaves us with a profound piece of advice, "Embrace what you love doing because there’s gonna come a time when you won’t be able to anymore. You don’t wanna look back and have regrets." His journey is a testament to the power of pursuing one's passions and the fulfillment it brings.
